We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our Legacy Business department. This role focuses on the electrical maintenance and repair of airport equipment, with a particular emphasis on battery systems.

The Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and battery-powered machinery used in airport operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working on electrical panels, airport-related electrical systems, and battery-powered equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving electrical faults and malfunctions in industrial equipment
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems, including control panels, wiring, and circuit boards
  • Disassembling components, inspecting for quality, and reassembling to OEM specifications
  • Performing preventative maintenance and accurately documenting all work using Maintenance Information Systems (MIS)
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Ensuring safe working practices at all times, implementing and adhering to quality and safety standards
  • Professionally engaging with internal teams and external customers

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance, including work on electrical panels (distribution boards) and battery systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and wiring installations
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and blueprints
  • Hands-on experience in fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Relevant certification in industrial electrical work or equivalent qualifications
  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • A proactive, reliable, and safety-focused approach to work
