The Role
This position involves hands-on maintenance and repair of operational blue light vehicles, including police, ambulance, and emergency response fleets. You will work in a structured workshop environment where safety, compliance, and fleet uptime are priorities.
Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across emergency service vehicles

Complete servicing, inspections and both planned and reactive maintenance

Ensure all work meets strict safety and roadworthiness standards

Accurately log job updates and parts usage on workshop systems

Carry out vehicle road-testing post-repair where required

Opportunity to fit and maintain specialist equipment used in blue light operations (training provided)
Requirements

Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or recognised equivalent)

Recent, practical workshop or fleet maintenance experience

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

Ability to work well under pressure with effective time management

Full UK driving licence
