The Role

This position involves hands-on maintenance and repair of operational blue light vehicles, including police, ambulance, and emergency response fleets. You will work in a structured workshop environment where safety, compliance, and fleet uptime are priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across emergency service vehicles

  • Complete servicing, inspections and both planned and reactive maintenance

  • Ensure all work meets strict safety and roadworthiness standards

  • Accurately log job updates and parts usage on workshop systems

  • Carry out vehicle road-testing post-repair where required

  • Opportunity to fit and maintain specialist equipment used in blue light operations (training provided)

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or recognised equivalent)

  • Recent, practical workshop or fleet maintenance experience

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

  • Ability to work well under pressure with effective time management

  • Full UK driving licence

  • A mindset open to ongoing learning and technical development
