We are supporting a leading aviation organisation in the UAE with the appointment of a Vice President Flight Operations to provide strategic leadership across flight operations and act as the regulatory Post Holder.

This position is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, safety, compliance, and the continuous improvement of all flight operations in line with UAE and international aviation standards.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced aviation professional to oversee multiple operational departments, manage regulatory relationships, and ensure a safe and effective operating environment across an expanding fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across all flight operations and deputise as required for the accountable manager

• Ensure full compliance with GCAA and international aviation requirements

• Lead a multidisciplinary team across flight operations, safety, crew resources and training

• Maintain and develop the operational framework, manuals and procedures

• Oversee the performance of flight operations, including safety standards, crew readiness and operational delivery

• Lead operational risk management and quality performance across the department

• Support continuous improvement in aviation safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability and customer service

Requirements

• University degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation or related discipline; postgraduate qualification preferred

• Minimum 15 years aviation operational experience

• Significant experience managing flight operations within commercial or VIP environments

• Extensive knowledge of aviation safety regulation and operating standards

• Captain or Pilot-qualified with relevant aircraft experience

• FAA / JAA licence holder

• Minimum 5,000 total flying hours, with substantial multi-jet and command time

• Valid Instrument Rating
