Job Description:

We are supporting a key aviation recruitment project and are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise material and procurement operations in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Role Purpose

You will take full ownership of the end-to-end supply chain and material management function, driving strategic direction, operational efficiency, supplier performance, and cost control across the operations centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage material planning, procurement, logistics, and storage activities.

  • Develop and implement a robust supply chain strategy aligned with business and financial planning.

  • Manage suppliers and logistics partners, overseeing contracts, negotiations, lead-times, and delivery timelines.

  • Ensure stock levels, purchase orders, and material tracking are accurate, reliable, and communicated across operational teams in advance.

  • Maintain high compliance with risk management, data security, and material handling standards to prevent damage or obsolescence.

  • Promote cross-business collaboration through clear, consistent, and effective communication.

  • Lead a small team of direct reports, setting objectives, driving performance, coaching, and providing structured feedback and appraisals.

  • Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial health, and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimisation.

  • Support commercial proposals with technical and pricing recommendations when required.

  • Undertake additional tasks when needed to support business or operational requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

  • MBA or Masters degree (or equivalent) required.

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a similar industry, including at least 4+ years leading a comparable function.
  • GCC / regional Middle East experience preferred.

  • Proven experience in building and improving policies and internal processes.
  • Strong financial and resource management capability.

  • Exceptional planning, organisational, and integration skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder and supplier management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong drive to scale capability and performance.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Head of Technical / Material Management Leadership.

  • Directly supervises a small team (2 direct reports).
